Oaks, California handles your remodeling from the design phase all the way through to completion. The following are “10 Steps to an Elegant Kitchen.”
1. Together, we schedule a one-hour appointment at our design centre. During this time you’ll have the chance to meet with one of our designers about your upcoming kitchen remodel. We’ll discuss your wants, needs and vision for your new kitchen, as well as outline a proposed budget. This is a
complementary meeting.
2. After the meeting in our design
centre, we visit your home. This gives our designer the chance to view the overall style of your home, experience first hand how your family lives and discuss the design possibilities for your kitchen remodeling project. This is done on our hourly rate.
3. When you determine you are ready to move forward and retain our design services, we again visit your home, this time to take measurements of the space to be remodeled. At this time we add your project to our schedule and give you a
written outline of the timeline. For this, a flat rate fee is charged and any consultation fees already collected will be applied to this fee.

4. You will certainly appreciate our attention to detail during Step 4. Together we will work on the design layout. In fact, we break it down so far that you will know which cabinet will house your spices, utensils,
pots and pans, Grandmother’s dishes and even
a cabinet to display your cookbooks.
5. It is during this time that our design knowledge is put to use to guide you through the process of choosing your: cabinetry, countertops, flooring, appliances, plumbing fixtures, knobs / pulls,
decorative lighting, table and chairs,
barstools, and even paint colors. Many design firms will leave you on your own during this process. We assist you to ensure that the final remodel is exactly what you’ve envisioned.
6. Now you’ll get the first “glimpse” of your new kitchen. Your Studio City Kitchens designer will present you with a final design which will include:
· Floor plan
· Lighting plan
· Elevation drawings
· Top view image
· Full color rendering
· A list of the materials you’ve selected, along with the pricing
7. Your designer next meets with the contractor at your home, and provides them with a copy of the design layout and materials list. Together, they review the entire scope of the remodeling project. Shortly afterward, the contractor will provide you with construction pricing.
8. The materials for your remodeling project are ordered now. It’s crucial that this is completed in a timely manner, as cabinetry normally takes 6 to 8 weeks to be built.
9. Depending on the size of the project and work that needs to be completed, the construction phase will last approximately 6 to 10 weeks.
10. Once the last dust is vacuumed up…it is time to enjoy your elegant new kitchen!
